Not all competitions are serious, as a school GDC enjoy taking part in the fun side of dancing, especially if they add fancy dress into the mix. For ten years running GDC has won the team fancy dress competition at Len Goodman's Dance Festival.

Whilst being a successful competitive school, GDC is a family run school that maintains a social, friendly, family atmosphere and always makes everyone feel welcome.

The school focuses on two main styles of dancing:

Modern Ballroom dancing, which includes 5 dances; Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep and Viennese Waltz.

Latin American dancing, which also includes 5 dances; Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive and Paso Doble.

Occasionally other styles of dancing (ie. Salsa, Social Foxtrot, Freestyle) are taught to compliment the two main styles.

We pride ourselves on being supportive of all our members, what ever their ambition, and the ability to not take ourselves too seriously keeping things fun.
